Well, it's been a while since I've posted, but I just thought I would take a moment and say that I am so darn excited that Dalton got a xanga. Check it out at: xanga.com/Country_BoyCanSurvive
Anyhow, it's been a long while since I've made a decent post on here. A whole lot has happened.
As everyone knows by now, I am an uncle as of two months ago. Actually, Lily turned 7 weeks old on 7.7.7... freaky. She is quite the cute bundle of "upchuck all over you" joy. She's been smiling a lot lately, a skill of which I am certain I can take no responsability for, because it is quite decided that I am perhaps her least favorite. I don't know who did the deciding, but I emphatically disagree with them.
Not only that, but my other sister (scrap the whole "in law" thing) Leah is also expecting a child. So, I will once more take up my God-given role as "God Uncle" (with special emphasis on the God... it just gives it a little more power... you know what I mean?).
I just remembered. LF bought a new church building on Friday and we are going to meet in it for the first time this weekend. It's pretty nice... I'm a fan at least, and that's got to count for something. I am going to do me best to get people interested in the idea of street hockey at the new building. Although as I typed that I just realized that there may be some type of liability involved peradventure someone were to get hurt. I don't know... maybe it would fall under the whole "assumed risk" clause...
Oh, the Rubels invited us over for the Fourth of July the other day. It was pretty fun. We played some mad baseball and I did pretty decent, I reckon. I won't tell you all how well I did though *cough* eight hits *cough* six runs *cough* because I really hate it when people brag on their skills or whatever.
I've been playing a lot of guitar lately. I rather enjoy it. I think the reason for my enjoyment is because unlike drums you can actually play songs... rather than just the rythem in which real songs are played... if that makes any sense.
I'm sorry it has been decided that you are Lillian's least favorite. Sweet!!! We're meeting in the new building this weekend! Ohh... getting a ride will be slightly more difficult, but not overly so. I hope we will be getting some serious lighting outside (like we have/had whatever, at the old building, of course, we had nothing to do with that lighting) I am glad you had a good 4th, it seems everyone enjoyed their more than I did. I spent mine sick in bed and we had to cancel all of our plans. Fun stuff. I am glad you aren't bragging about your skills in baseball ;) I need to learn how to play guitar. I feel so left out because I can't play. I mean, I have one available for use, but after dropping the pick in twice (the second time I couldn't get it out) I gave up.
Have a blessed day! ~Brittney
Hi "most among the 'least",
I'm happy for you all about the church building. Wow, how exciting.
You always were good at baseball (cough cough). I'll come down and hit a few balls for you to catch, I have to keep up my skills too you know.
Thanks for the post,
Hugs, Grammiej
It's good to hear from you Dr. D. Diffy. I'm sure everyone at Lamb is glad for a change of scenery. (And the chance to play street hockey) Keep on posting.
Joel
You know, that 7.7.7 thing could be a good thing : ) Sorry you're not Lily's favorite, but I'm sure she'll come around sooner or later. Glad you had fun playing baseball, lol, and thank you for not bragging about it.
I'll have to show you a thing or two on the guitar once we get down there, of course, I'm not very good without an electric : ) I'm ok on acoustic but I don't know all that many songs to play on there, most of the ones I know involve bending strings, a lot. I won't tell you what I can play though *cough* stairway to heaven *cough* hear you me *cough* because I really hate it when people brag.
See you soon,
Ben
I'm sure you'll be an awesome God Uncle to Baby Diff! I can't wait to see you in just two weeks!
